Powderhorn Mountain, Blackjack Ski Resort, Indianhead Mountain
Ski Resort, Mt. Zion Ski Area, Porcupine Mountains Skiing Area,
& Whitecap Mountains Skiing Resort. There are activities for
everyone here in the Western Upper Peninsula!

Our single family,
lakeside homes are each built on private 1 acre lots with 100 ft
of lake frontage. Each also feature a living room, kitchen,
patio deck, master bedroom and bath on the first level and sleep
2 to 8 people comfortably. They are well designed with two
additional bedrooms upstairs. The lower level has a fourth bunk
bedroom. Our units feature a well-equipped kitchen, are
beautifully furnished and have a great location directly on the
water. Both homes are Non-Smoking homes.
Mallard
Cove and Teal Wing each have a boat lift (weight restrictions
apply) and small dock, charcoal Weber grill, patio furniture,
microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with icemaker. The
kitchen is well-equipped with many dishes, cookware and small
household appliances.
The amenities enjoyed are direct-dial telephone, gas fireplace
and Mallard Cove has a sauna. Mallard Cove also has a shower
stall for individuals needing easier access. We also provide a
dozen bath towels, bed linens, complimentary soap and shampoo
and feature individually controlled thermostats, queen sized
beds, color satellite television, VCR and free cassette movies.

Mallard Cove and Teal Wing are two great
lakeside vacation homes. They would have to be as they were
designed and built by Big Snow Country’s premiere homebuilder,
Snow Country Contracting, Inc.

Unwind and relax in one of our lakeside vacation homes. We are
experts when it comes to northern hospitality. We like to think
that we’ve provided everything you hoped for. If not, let us
know and we’ll try to include it for your next stay! However,
we do not include firewood for campfires and you should also
bring extra bath & beach towels.
Directions: We are located
approximately 7 miles north of US 2 on Hwy M64. We are on the
West Shore of Lake Gogebic about 9 driveways north of the
Gogebic Lodge.

family vacation homes geared for today's lifestyle with all the
conveniences you'd expect to find, and much more.
The individual lakeside homes are
located on the west shore of Lake Gogebic, each with their own
private 100 feet of lake frontage and one acre of land. Spend
time vacationing with your family at either of our places. For
larger groups, rent both units as they are located right next
door to each other on adjoining lots.
We offer
seasonal discounts for fall hunting and sight seeing in
September and October. Well-behaved family pets are welcome,
provided they are leashed and not left unattended.
 Snowmobilers
especially enjoy the Lake Gogebic Area. We receive over 200
inches of snow annually, offering some of the earliest
snowmobiling in December and it generally runs until late
March. The lake area has six different trail systems all
starting and ending at Lake Gogebic. Each ride is 100 to 150
miles in length. Exceptional pride is taken in grooming with
updated equipment. Ride Safely!

We provide a booklet of information on recreational
opportunities for families at our vacation homes. Some
activities are within one mile of Mallard Cove and Teal Wing.
There are trails for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and
hiking.
Also featured
nearby is the Lake Gogebic State Park playground and sand
swimming beach, lounge/bar, restaurant, and
grocery/gift/convenience store. There are also three beautiful
waterfalls nearby to view: Judson Falls, Yondota Falls and Ka
Kabika Falls.

We require a 2-night minimum stay in the winter months. We also have holiday rates that run from around the 22nd of December until the 1st of January, Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend in January and President's day weekend in February. These are times when we get many calls for reservations, and book up very quickly.
GOOD THINGS TO KNOW
- Deposit of $200 required. Full payment due 14 days before arrival.
Holiday reservations require full payment 30 days in advance.
Cancellation fee prior to 30 days and late check out fee of $50 each.
Cancellation less than 30 days notice forfeits entire deposit.
10% Discount for rentals over 14 days.
